GoN Citizen App is committed to safeguarding your privacy on-line. This is a government owned app and we do not publish, sell or share or your personal information to any other party. We do not use your personal information for any kind of marketing.

What We Gather From You

Our App typically collects your personal information from the Sign-Up Form in the app. For your ease, we have provided social login via Facebook, Twitter and Google Plus which is solely for login purpose. The login credentials are required for users to gain access to our subscription-based e-services such as:

· Incident Reporting (Accident, natural disaster, epidemic, domestic violence, abuse, child labour, etc)

· Take part in our public discussion Forum

· Traffic/Police alerts and notifications

· Notification from government owned entities registered in the application

· Call for Rescue

· Complaints (Gunaso) to government agencies regarding services provided by the public entities

Contact Information

Our app’s sign up form requires users to give us contact information (like Name, email address, Mobile number). Contact information is used to get in touch with them when necessary such as in the events like road accidents, disaster rescue, etc for quickest possible response and relief operations by relevant government entities.

Parties To Whom We Disclose Your Information

The data that we collect on your site will not be transmitted to a 3rd party without your express permission. It is purely meant for improving government related service delivery channel.

In special cases where Government of Nepal has reason to believe that disclosing this information is necessary to identify, contact or bring legal action against someone who may be violating our terms and conditions of use or may be causing injury or interference with civil rights, public property, or anyone who could be harmed by such activities.

Security

This app has security measures in place to protect against the loss, misuse and alteration of the information under our control. A password must be entered to log in to your account. The app and the associated web portal are hosted in Government Integrated Data Center (GIDC), Singhdurbar, Kathmandu inside fully secured government premises.

Please note that GoN Citizen App will never ask for any personal information via email (e.g. income, political affiliation, religious faith, ethnicity, marital status, etc.).

If you wish to correct, update or otherwise modify the information that you have provided to us please visit the Profile section on our app and correct, update or modify the relevant information.
